What can I add to the previous reviews except my agreement?

A great cast and irreverent script make for an entertaining time.

Subject: the guy that plays Nick in 'It's a Wonderful Life' in this one
"Malary" says they forgot his name? If that's not intentional humour I just wanted to mention that is the incomparable Sheldon Leonard of early gangster classics as well as putting out shows like "The Dick Van Dyke Show" as well as many other fairly successful shows on TV at the time. I it Is intentional ... lol ! I am about to watch this one now and am sure it will be a great PD flick so, 5 stars sight unseen !

Subject: Give it a watch
A pretty dumb film, but, I sat through and enjoyed it.

From the English C21 point of view attitudes are dated and foreign. But perhaps that was the American humour.

No laugh out loud moments but amusing.

Abysmal ,frenetic comedy with the lead role badly miscat.
Experienced support players can't save it

Subject: A True Comedy
This is one of the funniest movies I have seen for a long time. This is why I love the old movies---good acting and clean. Farley was superb. The whole cast was great.

Subject: Brilliant Comedy
One of the cutest films I've ever seen
Winters and Granger are perfect together! I agree with kareneliot; they kind of remind you of Dagwood and Blondie. This is the first time I've ever seen Granger; he almost looks like Jimmy Stewart to me. By the way, the guy that plays Nick in 'It's a Wonderful Life' is in this one (I forget his real name). Get ready to laugh out loud if you view this one!

Subject: Funny farce
Misunderstandings, mixups and mistaken identities... those are the elements of "farce" and they're all here. Farley Granger's performance is over the top but it doesn't seem dated like a lot of other 50's comedy actors' do. He's very good here.

A thin Shelly winters! For most of my life she was interchangeable with Orson Welles as the punch line for a fat joke by Johnny Carson.

Other unexpected element... Buddy Ebsen has a song writing credit. He got around.

One negative... there are several bits of footage missing from this print, evident from jump cuts. You'll have to use your imagination to bridge the obvious gaps in continuity.

Subject: What a great comedy
I really laughed through this one. From what I've read about Shelly Winters, she was anything but a "Dumb Blond". It must have been very hard for her. Farley Granger was great.

Subject: Worth watching
I liked the original plot line. I recommend this if you like the Dagwood and Blondie Bumstead comedies.

Subject: I enjoyed it...
I got a kick out this one and laughed out loud for a couple minutes straight.

The website gave me trouble though. I tried watching the flash and it cut off before the end. So I tried downloading it, and it too cut off before the end. So then I tried the flash again, and it worked! I have no idea what is going on here, but I am glad I was able to finish watching this movie.

Subject: Simple fun
This is just a simple comedy, but lots of fun to watch. It's great to finally see another Shelley Winters movie on this site. The only other one is Mambo. Love her, hope to see more of her films. She was dating Farley Granger around this time, although it was probably just for publicity since he is supposedly gay. But it is great seeing him, too, always liked him. Plus, this is a good copy of the film.
